We examine the critical issues regarding the new supply chain policy recommendations of the USA and discuss the potential impacts that India might be suffered from. First, we discuss all of the US government’s recommendations given by the four different Departments (Department of Commerce, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and Department of Health and Human Services). To develop a brief idea about the recent scenario of the US supply chain, we analyze the US data related to trade share concerning global trade and have discussed the recent statistics of the US balance of payment (BOP) account. Then we critically examine the US-India bilateral trade data to describe the policy recommendations’ potential impacts. As the major dependency of the USA to India is in the pharmaceutical sectors, we have done a graphical analysis of this sector. The impacts can be classified into short-run and long-run impacts. The study concludes that even if India has a short-term comparative advantage over the USA because of the huge burden of debt of this global powerhouse, there might be a possibility that the white house can eliminate this dependency in the long run.

The exponential growth of online music streaming has given birth to many new platforms among which, the widely used platform is Spotify. The most popular music streaming app’s data can be used to predict the capability of a song to be popular before its release with the help of attributes like loudness, energy, acousticness, etc. which is defined when the song is being made. This study helps to predict the popularity of the song using the song metrics available in Spotify by applying Random Forest classifier, K-Nearest neighbour classifier and Linear Support Vector classifier to compare which of these models can effectively predict the popularity. The results found that Random Forest works the best for predicting popularity with high accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score.

This paper examines the impact of tariff reforms of the agricultural sector in Bangladesh to protect domestic agriculture using the social accounting matrix (SAM) obtained from the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) database. The computable general equilibrium (CGE) model is employed to investigate the impact of tariff reforms on the agricultural sector in Bangladesh. The CGE model is used to assess the impact of economic shocks that reverberate across sectors and represent cumulative shocks across the country. The CGE model is calibrated to a social accounting matrix (SAM) obtained from the GTAP 8 database after integrating 57 sectors into 4 sectors, a consistent, complete and disaggregated data system. Hicksian Equivalent Variation (EV) is computed which measures the changes in the utility level in monetary terms of the total households of Bangladesh in Household income and Expenditure Survey 2010. All other 146 member countries of WTO are considered as the rest of the world and assuming that import tariff rates of these countries are set according to WTO norms and other guidelines. The simulation results show that the trade reforms would improve the welfare of Bangladesh. The results suggest that the agricultural sector would expand with these trade reforms whereas service and mineral sectors would contract. So, the government should protect this agricultural sector by reforming import tariffs to ensure food security that would lead to reduced poverty.

Water is essential for life, yet it is one of the most poorly managed resources globally. improper solid waste disposal and river water pollution are growing environmental issues in Sri Lanka. The study was conducted based on quantitative and qualitative analysis and aimed to identify the physical and ecological impacts resulting from improper solid waste disposal in the Mahaweli River basin, which stretches from Peradeniya to the Polgolla Dam in the Kandy district. Primary data collection methods, such as direct observation, questionnaires, discussions, and interviews, as well as secondary data sources like divisional secretariat reports, websites, research reports, municipal council records, and books, were employed. The Solvin Method was used for sampling in 22 villages along the riverbanks, with 100 questionnaires distributed randomly. Data analysis was conducted using software like ArcGIS 10.8, Google Earth Pro, OpenStreetMap, and Microsoft Excel 2019. Areas where solid waste was deposited in the river were digitized and photographed. The study identified several critical issues in the area, including flood, drain blockages, challenges in dam implementation, health impacts, variations in water quality, damage to biodiversity, soil degradation, natural beauty deterioration, and plastic pollution. To address these issues, the study proposes management measures to prevent and reduce improper solid waste disposal, techniques for removing solid waste accumulation in the river, and alternative recommendations and guidelines to reduce solid waste in the study area.

The Sanskrit dramas lure the rudiments of poetry and musical recitation, poetic imagination, emotions, etc. from the epics. Such elements of the dramaturgy have caused the creation of the Sanskrit drama. The theoreticians have articulated that drama is a composition that can evoke intellectual pleasure and is suitable for representation on the stage. The oldest work on dramaturgy, available at present, is the Natyasastra of Bharata. The Sanskrit plays are lyrical and they are predominantly poetic. The poetic passion is more predominant than dramatic action. The incorporation of multiple languages, the dominance of poetic elements over dramatic action, and the inclusion of musical and dance components in subsidiary varieties showcase the multifaceted nature of Sanskrit dramas.

This paper explores the impact of colonialism on economic laws in India, and the effect that this has had on the countrys economic development. The British colonial government established a legal and institutional framework that was designed to serve their interests and extract resources from India, rather than promote the economic development of the country. The effect of this continued even after independence, as India struggled to modernize its economy and overcome the challenges of poverty and inequality. Although with the introduction of liberalization, the economy was boosted and many significant changes were brought. They have also had negative effects, such as the collapse of traditional industries and an increase in inequality. The paper also has a comparative analysis of the economy of India and Botswana to understand the level of growth post-colonialism.
